This policy explains what personal information the Beakful Store (shop.funpuffin.com) collects, why, and what we do with it. The store is run by Fun Puffin in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
This policy covers the store only. The Beakful game and funpuffin.com have their own privacy information at funpuffin.com.
What we collect
When you place an order:
- your name, email address, and billing and shipping addresses
- your phone number, if you give it (carriers sometimes need it for delivery)
- what you ordered and how much you paid
If you create an account, we also keep your login details and order history.
Card details: payments are handled by WooPayments (powered by Stripe). Your card number goes straight to them, and we never see or store it.
When you browse, the site uses cookies to keep your cart and login working.
We may also use tools from Google and TikTok to measure how our ads and product listings perform. These use cookies or similar technology to record things like pages viewed and purchases, and may connect that with your Google or TikTok account. You can block these with your browser’s cookie settings or an ad blocker, and manage ad personalization in your Google and TikTok settings. We never sell your information.
Why we use it
- to make, ship and deliver your order
- to send order confirmations, shipping updates and replies to your questions
- to handle returns, refunds and problems with an order
- to keep records that the law requires (for example, tax records)
- to prevent fraud
We’ll only send you marketing emails if you’ve opted in, and every one of them will have an unsubscribe link.
Who we share it with
We share only what each service needs to do its job:
- Printful, who prints and ships your order (name, shipping address, phone number and the items ordered)
- Shipping carriers, to deliver your package
- WooPayments (by Automattic, powered by Stripe), to take your payment and prevent fraud
- Google and TikTok, for ad measurement and product listings (see cookies above)
- HostGator, which hosts this website
Some of these companies store information outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union, so your information may be subject to the laws of those countries. We never sell or rent your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as Canadian tax law requires (currently six years). Account information is kept until you ask us to delete your account. After that, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- show you the personal information we hold about you
- correct anything that’s wrong
- delete your account and information we don’t need to keep by law
- stop sending you marketing emails (or just click unsubscribe)
Email beakful@funpuffin.com and we’ll reply within 30 days. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
The store is meant for adults. Beakful is a game kids love, but purchases should be made by a parent or guardian. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Security
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to order information is limited to the people who need it to run the store.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
